The sand and shell beach is a great starting point for exploring the local islands in Ganges Harbour - a favorite for kayakers, especially in the moonlight. A grassy low bank waterfront is ideal for launching and storing your kayak or canoe. The beach is safe for kids and even at high tide one can walk on the shell beach for long distances. Try setting out a crab pot (available at the house) for those famous Ganges dungeness crabs. A private hot outdoor shower will wash off all that surplus sand after a day on the water and beaches.
The house is "West Coast" open plan design, with hardwood floors and large windows on three sides that provide breathtaking ocean and forest views wherever you look. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare gourmet meals with a Jenair stove, microwave, dishwasher and all utensils and equipment you might need.
The bedrooms are attractive with excellent beds and new, quality linens. The furnishings provide a cozy visiting space that complement the view and are enhanced by attractive art works. Ganges is one kilometer away with supermarkets, videos, shops, galleries, fine restaurants and the "Tree House" and "Mobys" pub with live music entertainment. Be sure to take in the famous Saturday morning Market!. Take time also to explore some of the famous nature parks, artist studios, house tours, hiking trails, golf courses or just experience the well known charm of Salt Spring island.
